1200 managers across South Africa, citizen scientists like you contributed to this research and supported education. The report explored a number of topics related to management and was compiled by Dr Carly Steyn (left) and Dr Diane Bell (Right). The majority of managers (67%) agree that organisations maintained motivation and engagement levels, a fact that is supported by our UNISA employee engagement research. The MIR also found that managers are positive (80%) about the efforts of their organisations to foster diversity friendly environments. Challenges to be overcome include clear and effective communication from top management. Almost half of managers surveyed top managers do not communicate clearly. Despite the obstacles to be overcome the MIR shows their is a good foundation for growth when it comes to business in South Africa.
